How to Put Your AI-Made Website on Your Own Domain (.com or .com.ng)
Once your AI-made website is live, the next step that makes customers trust you is your own address, like yourbusiness.com or yourbusiness.com.ng, instead of a free subdomain. Here's how to do it, step by step.
Step 1: Get your website live first
If you haven't yet, copy your website code from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, paste it at vertlio.com and publish. It takes about two minutes.
Step 2: Choose and buy a domain
- Pick something short and easy to say on the phone, ideally your business name.
- .com works everywhere; .com.ng tells Nigerian customers you're local. Many businesses get both.
- Buy it from any domain seller (registrar). Check the yearly renewal price, not just the first-year discount.
Step 3: Connect it in Vertlio
- Upgrade to Solo Pro (custom domains are included).
- In your dashboard, open your website's settings and add your domain.
- Vertlio shows you a couple of DNS records. Log in where you bought the domain, open its DNS settings and add exactly those records.
- Come back and click Verify. Changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to spread across the internet.
Secure https is set up for you, so visitors see the padlock.
After connecting
- Update your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio and WhatsApp Business link to the new address.
- Set your Google title and description in Vertlio's Search & sharing settings.
- Print it on your flyers, cards and shop signage.
Common questions
Do I lose my free address?
No. Your vertlio.com address keeps working too.
Can I use a domain I already own?
Yes. Just add the DNS records Vertlio shows you at the company where your domain is registered.
