How to Turn a Claude Artifact into a Real Website with Your Own Address
Claude is one of the best AI tools for designing websites. It shows the result as an artifact, a live preview next to the chat. But an artifact isn't your business website: it lives on Claude's site, carries Claude's branding, and can't have your own domain, contact form inbox or Google listing. Here's how to turn it into the real thing.
Step 1: Ask Claude for one complete HTML file
If Claude built your site in React or split it into several files, ask: "Give me this website as one complete HTML file using Tailwind CSS, with everything in a single code block." One self-contained file is what you want.
Step 2: Copy the code
Open the artifact, switch to the Code view and click Copy. Check that it begins with <!DOCTYPE html> and ends with </html>.
Step 3: Paste it into Vertlio and publish
Go to vertlio.com, tap Paste & build my website, then click Publish. Your site goes live on a free yourname.vertlio.com address in seconds.
Claude's "Publish" link vs a real website
- Address: a Claude share link is a long claude.ai web address; on Vertlio it's yourname.vertlio.com, or yourbusiness.com on Pro.
- Enquiries: Vertlio makes your contact form work and collects leads, and adds a WhatsApp chat button.
- Editing: click any text or image on Vertlio to change it, or use Change a section with AI, without going back to Claude.
- Google: Vertlio sets your page title, description and sharing image so you can be found and look good when shared.
Tips for the best result
- Tell Claude your real business name, city, phone and WhatsApp number so the copy is ready to publish.
- Ask for "a premium, mobile-first single-page website", since most visitors will be on phones.
- After publishing, upload your real logo in Vertlio's Quick Settings and set its size.
